Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cost Consultant to join our team in a central role designed to strengthen our commercial capability and ensure the highest standards of delivery across major programs. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a senior professional ready to take the next step in a fast-growing region with global visibility. The ideal candidate thrives in a client-facing role, bringing strong communication skills and extensive construction cost management experience to support medium to large-scale construction projects.  

Job Duties
  • Manage the prequalification of vendors, assess proposals, bids, and bid leveling documents, make client recommendations, and manage appointment processes.  
  • Develop full project estimates (construction, fees, direct work, etc.), present them to clients, and prepare value engineering recommendations and risk assessments.  
  • Meet with vendors to review, validate, and challenge costs using benchmark data from other projects.  
  • Establish reporting schedules, review and present cost reports/forecasts, manage project budgets, and maintain commercial risk registers.  
  • Review payment applications, recommend contractor entitlements, manage requests for change orders, and handle dispute prevention/resolution procedures.  
  • Manage and monitor the invoicing process, final accounting processes, post-contract audits, and account closeouts.  
  • Establish lessons learned documents to aid professional development and create training materials.  
  • Perform all responsibilities using Bid Analysis Sheets, Change Control Forms, Cost Estimating Software, and Take-off Software.  
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or another field related to construction.  
  • Relevant experience working in a cost management role within the construction industry.  
  • Experience in construction cost management roles such as Estimating, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls.  
  • Proven experience supporting program-level cost management for medium to large-scale construction projects.  
  • Prior experience with estimating tools and software.  
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a client-facing capacity.  
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
