Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform routine cleaning, housekeeping and/or general maintenance duties, for the Hematology/Oncology community clinics. Work individually maintaining assigned work area.

Salary range: $21.05/hr - $27.21/hr

Required:

  • Knowledge of custodial safety practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of custodial materials, methods and practices
  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds Willingness to contribute to cultural diversity for educational enrichment
  • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator
  • Ability to mix proper amounts of water/chemical solutions
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to operate custodial equipment
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to train personnel in custodial work
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures regarding personnel, supply and equipment, and custodial work
  • Knowledge of inventory practices
  • Ability to coordinate and plan for effective use of equipment, supplies and personnel
  • Ability to resolve problems and complaints
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of planning, organizing and general administration
  • Ability to plan and direct custodial operations including determining work priorities
  • Ability to bend, pull, and push as well as carry a minimum of 30 pounds

As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
