Location: Remote (Company located in Indianapolis)
Industry: Healthcare Technology

Job Overview:
Theoris is assisting our client in a search for an experienced Oracle-focused Analytics Data Engineer to support data road mapping and build high-quality data assets that power clinical insights, products, and customer-facing analytics. This role requires a highly skilled engineer who understands Oracle performance tuning, healthcare data standards, and the practical realities of designing pipelines at scale.

Responsibilities:
This role combines strong data analysis skills with mid-level data engineering expertise to support data exports, tables, and source-level data insights. The focus is on understanding, profiling, validating, and improving data quality so it can be reliably used for reporting, analytics, and downstream business needs.
  • Analyze, profile, and validate data from multiple source systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Create and maintain curated tables, views, and data exports that clearly describe data by source.
  • Identify data quality issues (e.g., gaps, anomalies, invalid values, mapping issues) and collaborate with partners to resolve them.
  • Perform data cleansing, integrity checks, and validation, particularly related to transactional and clinical data.
  • Use SQL and PL/SQL to query, analyze, and transform large datasets efficiently.
  • Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and bulk-processing routines.
  • Review data to determine what is clean, reliable, and suitable for reporting, analytics, and reuse.
  • Develop light visualizations and exploration analysis using tools such as Tableau to support data understanding.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and recommend practical data solutions.
  • Provide data expertise to support new business initiatives and data onboarding efforts.
  • Operate primarily in an on premises Oracle environment, with limited exposure to private cloud platforms.
Requirements:
Must have:
  • High-level data analysis skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Expert ability to read, interpret, and assess data quality.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL proficiency
  • Experience with Oracle databases
  • Hands-on experience with data profiling, cleansing, validation, and integrity checks
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues and determine root causes.
Nice to Have:
  • Data engineering experience designing and maintaining tables, views, and exports.
  • Basic to intermediate Tableau skills for exploratory analysis and visualization
  • Ability to work with complex source system variations and terminology mappings.
  • Comfortable working in a mostly on prem environment

About the Company

i

inSync Staffing

We recognize the VMS program management team is our customer and needs to be serviced with integrity, so we built and continue to improve upon our delivery methods as we strive to provide the highest quality service possible. inSync Staffing’s management team recognized ten years ago the inevitable changes to the staffing industry being brought about by technology and the growing trend of Fortune 1000 corporations to outsource management of their contingent workforces to meet compliance and cost control goals. Rather than swim upstream against the changes, inSync Staffing has embraced MSP and VMS programs as our customers, not competitors. We asked program managers how they want to be serviced. The result of their input is that we have structured inSync Staffing as a recruiting and customer service organization, unlike traditional staffing companies who sell directly to the end client. Our delivery model allows us concentrates our resources on how to best supply candidates in a very competitive MSP/VMS program environment.
