Job Description
Job : Sr. Data Engineer
Locations : Austin, Texas (Local preferred)
Responsibilities:- Responsible for building and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines to support YETI's Business needs.
- Building solutions that enable data scientists to perform advanced analytics and machine learning tasks.
- Own the system architecture and infrastructure of our Google Could Data warehouse and other related GCP services.
- Build and assist BI developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Qualifications & Attributes:- At least 6+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, such as Big Query, Dataflow, Composer, Pub/Sub, etc.
- Expert in writing, analyzing, and tuning complex SQL queries
- Extensive experience with Python programming
- Familiarity with data quality and governance principles and best practices
- Experience with Apigee or Mulesoft for API integration and management is a plus
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented programming.
- Willing to work with new tools and learn new programming languages
- Strong problem-solving ability and a positive attitude.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript & Pyspark are a huge plus
- Experience with Tableau or other BI tools for data visualization and dashboarding
- Position based in Austin, TX at our headquarters office located off Southwest Parkway (must relocate if not local to Austin).
