Position Specific Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and data-driven products. You will work hands-on with modern data technologies such as Amazon Redshift, Databricks, and cloud-based data processing frameworks to ensure reliable, high-quality data flows across the platform. You will apply strong software engineering principles to optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage while collaborating closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams to enable actionable insights. You are at the edge of adopting emerging technologies and are keen to develop an AI-first coding mentality.

Technical skills:Experience with DBT, Prefect (or similar orchestration tools like Airflow) data replication strategies, Python, Redshift, Databricks, and a high level of SQL proficiency. Experience with AWS tools and utilities (S3, Dynamo, etc.). Experience with modern data warehousing approaches (medallion architecture, etc.). Strong data modeling and data structure design skills.

Job Overview

This position writes and tests software to aid in development and support of products. Individuals in this role work with Technical Leads on software system architecture and service design and typically leads a module in the system. This position participates in required product development process ceremonies. Employees in this role are responsible for writing and refining technical requirements and technical design documentation.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Codes in multiple languages in support of software products and the development of software products
  • Conducts system testing and codes unit tests and support features
  • Documents technical requirement and other technical documentation
  • Works with product team to refine product requirements
  • Collaborates on high level software design projects and software system architecture and creates effective component level architectures
  • Leads software module construction from architecture and design to implementation and may lead a small team of engineers in building the module
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: 7+ years
