Summary
The Senior Data Governance Analyst is responsible for leading enterprise data governance initiatives to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across business systems. This role partners with cross-functional teams to establish governance standards, improve data quality, and support strategic reporting and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead data governance initiatives, standards, and best practices across enterprise systems
- Design and maintain governance controls, reporting dashboards, and data quality metrics
- Resolve complex data integrity issues and support data cleansing efforts
- Oversee master data validation, stewardship, and reporting processes
- Partner with business and technical teams to improve data management processes
- Provide recommendations for data structure, governance, and operational improvements
- Mentor junior analysts and support data governance training initiatives
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of enterprise data across systems
Requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Business Analytics , or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI
- Experience working with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Snowflake, and Dayforce
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience managing and improving data quality processes across multiple systems
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence data governance practices
Bonus Skills- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and environments
- Background in large-scale data cleansing or migration initiatives
- Exposure to automation, AI-driven analytics, or advanced reporting solutions
