Sr. Data Lake Support Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

The Sr. Data Lake Support Engineer will support database operations, ETL processes, cloud services, and enterprise applications within a secure environment. This role combines SQL development, database administration, Azure support, and production support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience with Windows and Linux environments, and an interest in cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support SQL Server databases, including query development, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Maintain and support ETL processes and data integrations.
• Provide operational support for Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and resolve production issues.
• Support enterprise applications, reporting platforms, and file transfer processes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data availability and system reliability.
• Support Windows and Linux server environments.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Qualifications

• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL experience, including joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and views.
• Experience supporting SQL Server databases in a production environment.
• Experience with Azure Portal and Azure cloud services.
• Experience supporting ETL processes and data integration workflows.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and basic Linux support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks & Kubernetes.
• PowerShell scripting experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with Power BI or reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
• Must be a US Citizen with the eligibility to obtain a government security clearance.
