Senior Data Product Engineer
Pay Range: $60/hour to $64/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Product Engineer to lead a strategic data architecture initiative focused on designing and implementing a framework to separate and govern regional data (Europe and United States) within a Snowflake environment.

This is a highly analytical and architecture-focused role supporting a post-migration environment. The Snowflake platform is already in place; the primary focus is on deep data discovery, lineage validation, metadata analysis, and the design of a scalable framework for regional data separation across a complex, multi-system enterprise landscape.

The ideal candidate is highly technical, comfortable working in ambiguous environments, and experienced in enterprise data ecosystems shaped by mergers and acquisitions.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Discovery & Analysis
  • Conduct deep analysis across enterprise applications to identify data sources, ownership, and data lineage
  • Perform detailed investigation of legacy systems across acquired organizations
  • Trace end-to-end data flows across Snowflake, Salesforce, AWS, and Azure environments
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate datasets and business logic
  • Define and document business rules (e.g., customer definitions and regional classifications)
  • Spend significant time performing hands-on data analysis and investigation

Data Architecture & Design
  • Design a scalable Snowflake architecture framework to support regional (EU vs. US) data separation
  • Develop a repeatable architecture and implementation playbook for data segmentation
  • Partner with architecture and engineering teams to validate design decisions
  • Contribute to long-term improvements of enterprise data platform architecture

Data Governance & Lineage
  • Collaborate with data governance, data quality, and metadata management teams
  • Ensure data lineage is documented, traceable, and compliant with governance standards
  • Support implementation of data access controls and regional data segmentation policies
  • Align solutions with regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and regional teams (including Europe-based partners)
  • Work closely with data architecture, governance, and engineering teams
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery cycles (2-week sprints)
  • Communicate findings, risks, and architectural recommendations to technical and business audiences

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and data modeling
  • Advanced SQL development and data analysis skills
  • Experience working with Salesforce data ecosystems
  • Background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) environments, preferably within telecommunications or large-scale enterprises
  • Experience working with multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management
  • Proven ability to work independently in complex, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with DBT or similar data transformation tools
  • Familiarity with large-scale enterprise data integrations and system consolidation efforts
  • Experience working with highly siloed or legacy application environments
  • Exposure to telecom, infrastructure, or large distributed enterprise data systems
  • Experience supporting or designing data separation, segmentation, or residency programs

Core Competencies
  • Snowflake Data Architecture
  • Data Lineage & Metadata Management
  • Advanced SQL & Data Investigation
  • Enterprise Data Governance
  • Salesforce Data Integration
  • AWS & Azure Data Ecosystems
  • M&A Data Integration
  • Data Modeling & Business Logic Design
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Analytical Problem Solving
