Senior Database Developer position open in the St. Louis area for a full-time professional with SQL Server database development experience, including stored procedures, database design, performance tuning, and C#/.NET applications. This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in the Bridgeton, MO office (Tuesday & Wednesday).
This is a great opportunity to join an established organization and work with large, business-critical databases and applications while taking ownership of database development, optimization, and support. Visa assistance is not available for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database solutions
- Develop and optimize queries, stored procedures, functions, and database structures
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues and bottlenecks
- Maintain data integrity, security, access controls, and auditing
- Support production and development database environments
- Collaborate with .NET/application developers on database and data integration solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
Requirements & Skills:
- 5+ years of SQL Server database development experience
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL skills
- Strong experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
- Experience with database design, data models, schemas, and relationships
- Experience monitoring and tuning SQL Server databases and optimizing query performance
- Experience supporting multiple SQL Server databases in large production environments
- Knowledge of .NET and legacy applications that interact with SQL Server
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes
- Understanding of Entity Framework and TFS/Azure DevOps is a plus
