Title: Sr. Database & Reports Developer (Fabric & Power BI)

This is a fully remote, short-term contract role for a Senior Database & Reporting Developer (Fabric & Power BI). The position focuses on designing and optimizing complex database systems, building ETL workflows using Microsoft Fabric, and creating insightful Power BI reports. The role also involves leading cloud migration projects and ensuring high performance, security, and scalability across large-scale data environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable database solutions using Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server.
  • Build and optimize ETL pipelines, stored procedures, triggers, and views using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines, Data Flows, and Notebooks.
  • Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Lead cloud database migration projects with minimal downtime.
  • Integrate multiple data sources into unified data models.
  • Analyze and improve database performance and query execution.
  • Automate database deployment processes using Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Maintain documentation for database designs and migration processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and stay current with emerging technologies.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in database development (SQL Server, ETL design/build, database architecture).
  • Minimum 2 yearsof hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Data Flows, Notebooks).
  • Proficiency in SQL Server,
