Sr DBA Admin - SQL Server DBAAPN Consulting, Inc. is a progressive IT staffing and services company offering innovative business solutions to improve client business outcomes. We focus on high impact technology solutions in ServiceNow, Fullstack, Cloud & Data, and AI / ML. Due to our globally expanding service offerings we are seeking top-talent to join our teams and grow with us.Work Location & Reporting Address: Richardson, TX 75082 (Remote work is allowed). Contract duration: 12 monthsDatabase Administrator with general DBA experience and Project Management skillsProvide mid-level DBA support to Oracle, SQL Server.Deep knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server architecture in different versions is a must.Have solid and thorough approach to tuning very complex database problems with very high volumes.Excellent automation skills.Able to work well in large DBA team. Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server backup and recoveries.Able to work well in a large DBA team with many members with various experience levels.Ability to spend significant amount of time with application teams in helping them tune code running within databases.Deep working knowledge of Oracle RAC and ASM, SQL Server Always On and Demonstrated knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, & platforms.Experience with Data Guard, OEM, Toad, AWR, RMAN & other DBA tools.Ability to take full ownership of assigned projects.Communicate with stakeholders to assess Oracle databases and host decommission readiness and then schedule the decommission events.Self-starter and ability to work issues till resolution.In depth knowledge and experience with DB upgrades, re-hosting, and patching.Able to perform all aspects of database administration, security, performance tuning, and data replication.Support security policies to ensure integrity of data.Decommission Oracle and SQL Server databases and hosts.Write SQL statements to identify user security issues and mitigate them.Strong General Qualifications: Excellent organization, oral and written communications skills.Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a large DBA team.Good design, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to understand end user experience.Naturally takes ownership of projects and drives them to completion with high-quality outcomes.Experience working with US government-compliant systems (CMMC) is preferredMinimum years of experience: 8 yearsCertifications Needed: NoInterview Process (Is face to face required?)
