Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized recruiting firm, is partnering with a global leader in the power and energy industry to identify a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing power transformer components, creating engineering documentation, and supporting new product development while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions. This is a full-time onsite opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and transformer components for new and existing products.
- Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and evaluations to ensure designs meet technical and performance requirements.
- Create manufacturing drawings, engineering documentation, bills of materials, and other supporting design packages.
- Develop 3D models and perform simulations to validate product performance and resolve design challenges.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, sales, and other engineering teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions to improve product reliability.
- Provide technical support to customers by addressing engineering questions and assisting with product-related issues.
- Prepare engineering specifications, technical reports, proposals, and documentation required for project execution and approvals.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable company standards, industry regulations, and quality requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 5-8 years of electrical design experience, preferably within the power transformer or electrical equipment industry.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals with the ability to apply them to product design and development.
- Experience using AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D CAD software such as Creo or similar design platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard engineering documentation practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to manage projects independently and collaborate across multiple departments.
