Sr Microsoft Power Platform Developer Job Description

The Division of Health Services Systems (DHSS) within the Office of Application Technology Services (OATS) is requesting resumes for one Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer with a rate up to $72.00/hour.

Description

Will serve as a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives alongside Solution Architects and technical teams to design, develop, and implement enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure cloud technologies. Projects will leverage Power Pages, Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure API Management, Microsoft Entra ID, and related Azure services. The resource must be highly motivated, results-oriented, and possess strong communication, documentation, solution architecture, and integration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in software analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise business applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure technologies.
  • Develop & maintain external-facing portals using Power Pages.
  • Develop & maintain business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
  • Build workflow automation solutions using Power Automate Cloud Flows and Desktop Flows.
  • Design and implement integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, REST APIs, API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
  • Work with Microsoft Dataverse including data modeling, business rules, relationships, and security.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics using Power BI.
  • Implement secure cloud solutions using Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Implement ALM, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps for Power Platform.
  • Ensure governance, security, compliance, and environment management.
  • Design user-friendly web and mobile experiences.
  • Experience using CheckMarx static code analysis software.
  • Eager to learn and implement innovative Microsoft cloud technologies.

Required Skills

  • 8-10 years overall experience in developing and maintaining enterprise applications and with at least 5 years of Power Platform experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing enterprise applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Azure technologies.
  • Strong experience with Power Pages, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, and App Services.
  • Experience designing secure cloud-native solutions and integrating applications using REST APIs.
  • Experience with Dataverse governance, security, and data modeling.
  • Experience working with cross-functional development, infrastructure, security, and network teams.
  • Experience producing and reviewing technical architecture and design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, Claims-Based Authentication, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, Power Platform Developer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Dynamics 365 integration and customization.
  • Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Azure DevOps and Git source control.
  • AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Azure Data Factory for data migration and integration.
  • Enterprise reporting using Power BI Premium.
  • Experience with workflow/business process automation platforms.
  • Prior experience with the Commonwealth of Kentucky or other state government agencies.
