Sr. DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab

Rate: $60-70

Location: Dallas, TX / Hybrid

Duration: 6+ months

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, and Microservices deployment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, and managing end-to-end deployment pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and containerized application deployments across enterprise environments. Experience with AWS Cloud is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Automation (Primary)

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Automate build, test, release, and deployment processes using Shell Scripting, YAML, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Develop reusable pipeline templates and deployment frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and optimize CI/CD workflows to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices, including automated quality checks and security scans.

Infrastructure as Code (Primary)

• Provision and manage cloud and on-premise infrastructure using Terraform.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and reusable templates.
• Ensure infrastructure consistency, scalability, and compliance through automation.

API & Microservices Deployment (Primary)

• Deploy and manage RESTful APIs and Microservices across development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement scalable deployment strategies.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Support containerization initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes.

Kubernetes Administration & Deployment (Primary)

• Deploy, configure, and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes clusters.
• Create and maintain Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and deployment configurations.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and security.
• Implement automated deployment, scaling, and rollback strategies.

Cloud Platforms (Preferred)

• Work with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and other cloud-native services.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Assist in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
