Sr. Digital Designer, Creative Marketing

Responsibilities:

H-E-B's Digital Design team creates and elevates visual assets across our digital ecosystem, transforming strategic marketing concepts into compelling visual stories that drive brand engagement across web, social, email, and paid channels.
As a Senior Creative Digital Designer, you'll create innovative and impactful solutions to influence the character of H-E-B through our digital marketing efforts in multichannel areas, including social media, email, display, homepage, and other digital platforms. You'll bring your expertise to high-visibility projects that call for advanced critical thinking and design skills, leading creative direction and setting the standard for team members across various projects.

We're looking for: 6+ years of experience

 

What is the work? Design & Development:

• Works collaboratively with internal agency / stakeholders to capture design requirements and translate them into innovative design solutions
• Art directs photo and video shoots; ensures execution stays customer-focused, meets the needs of the brief, and stays on brand — while thinking beyond the immediate ask to identify how the creative can go further
• Leads collaborative discussions / ideates / delivers best-in-class digital design assets that include excellent layout, animation, and creative concepts
• Ensures continuous innovation aimed at establishing H-E-B as a leader in creative marketing
• Monitors competitive initiatives; stays current on creative innovations; identifies new opportunities and translates them into innovative ideas for H-E-B
• Adheres to stringent deadlines to ensure smooth flow of projects through the department and allow for special projects, pre-work, and rush assignments
• Represents design strategy and direction to higher management levels, and helps communicate look, feel, and design direction to other team members
• Participates in long-range projects to upgrade / enhance H-E-B's digital platforms

What is your background?

• A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
• 6+ years of experience in digital marketing design
• Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite, DAMs, design systems
• Extensive experience designing advertising concepts and campaigns in a corporate or agency environment
• Extensive experience in retail / eCommerce
• Experience using Apple-based systems and Adobe CS, Figma, Dropbox, Brandfolder (DAM) and creating digital-ready art for use across multiple platforms
• Experience leading design conversations while creating assets that solve for the H-E-B customer
