Job Purpose

The Senior Director, Enterprise Platforms & Transformation is the leader responsible for transforming ACI's corporate application ecosystem starting with Salesforce and Atlassian Cloud to drive meaningful business outcomes across internal departments such as Commercial, Finance, HR, and Product Development/Engineering.

This role is accountable for delivering large-scale platform modernization across thousands of users, consolidating and rationalizing complex Jira and Confluence footprints, and elevating Salesforce into a strategic commercial engine spanning CRM, CPQ, and future Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA).

This leader will define multi-year strategy, orchestrate transformation delivery, partner deeply with business executives, direct partner services engagements, and embed a governance model that ensures adoption, data integrity, and operational excellence.

The role focuses on transformation, while working closely with operational leaders who manage BAU execution.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Enterprise Platform Transformation Strategy Own end-to-end platform strategy for Salesforce, Atlassian Cloud, and related enterprise systems. Develop a multi-year transformation roadmap aligned to commercial growth, engineering velocity, financial controls, workforce efficiency, and operational maturity. Establish and maintain an enterprise governance model covering architecture, data standards, change management, release management, intake/prioritization, and quality controls. Assess platform health, technical debt, and long-term risk; recommend modernization and rationalization initiatives.

  2. Salesforce Transformation (CRM, CPQ, RCA Roadmap) Lead transformation of Salesforce into a high-performing commercial platform supporting: Pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, opportunity management, seller productivity. Service/Support workflows (if applicable). CPQ: quoting optimization, pricing governance, approval workflows. Quote-to-cash automation, billing intelligence, revenue recognition workflows. Design and implement Salesforce roadmap with clear business outcomes. Ensure Salesforce integrates seamlessly with Finance, Product catalog, entitlements, operations, and customer systems.

  3. Atlassian Cloud Migration & Enterprise Governance Lead transformation of Atlassian ecosystem across thousands of users, dozens of projects, and a complex plugin footprint. Oversee large-scale migration from legacy on-prem Jira/Confluence systems into Atlassian Cloud, including: Instance consolidation Plugin rationalization Workflow standardization Permission model redesign Automation strategy Custom field and schema standardization Data migration and testing frameworks Drive rollout of enterprise templates, project taxonomies, dashboards, space architecture, reporting structures, and governance standards. Ensure engineering and product teams adopt standardized workflows while enabling configurable but controlled flexibility.

  4. Partner & Vendor Relationship Leadership Serve as the executive owner of all external partner relationships related to Salesforce and Atlassian transformation. Define partner strategy: vendor selection, RFPs, SOW creation, delivery oversight, and performance management. Lead joint-delivery models where partner resources work side-by-side with internal engineering, admins, architects, and operations teams to deliver transformation outcomes. Ensure partners bring best practices, accelerators, and measurable value; hold them accountable to scope, quality, and timelines. Optimize license management, contract negotiations, and roadmap alignment in partnership with Procurement and Finance.

  5. Business Stakeholder Leadership (Commercial, Finance, HR, Product/Engineering) Act as a trusted advisor to business executives, ensuring platforms support key functional outcomes: Commercial: forecasting accuracy, sales cycle efficiency, lead-to-cash automation Finance: controls, audit, revenue/billing integration alignment HR: workforce workflows, permission lifecycle, onboarding/offboarding, training Product Development & Engineering: agile/DevOps workflows, sprint reporting, engineering productivity signals Lead enterprise steering committees; ensure consensus on priorities, business value, timing, and resource needs. Translate business strategy into platform capabilities and measurable outputs.

  6. Delivery Excellence & Change Management Oversee multi-stream programs with structured program governance. Implement predictable delivery methodology including: Sprint/iteration management Release management UAT cycles Cutover plans Adoption measurement Drive organization-wide training, communications, change reinforcement, and success metrics. Embed KPIs for usage, adoption, stability, data integrity, and value realization.

  7. Leadership & Organizational Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Create clarity of accountability between transformation teams and BAU operations. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, discipline, and customer-centricity. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical or business field.
  • 8+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale application transformation programs.
  • Proven success leading Salesforce transformation including: CRM modernization CPQ optimization Proven success leading Work Management/Orchestration systems transformations, including: Migration of large, multi-thousand-user Atlassian Jira/Confluence ecosystems Management of complex plugin environments Cloud migration and governance redesign Strong business acumen: able to partner credibly with internal and external stakeholders including at the executive level. Proven experience leading partner delivery: System Integration (SI) firms, Atlassian solution partners, Salesforce consulting partners. Experience establishing platform governance, intake/prioritization, and KPI-driven operating models. Strong communication, negotiation, influence, and executive presence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree such as an MBA, MS in Information Systems, or related technology/leadership field preferred.
  • Direct experience with Salesforce integrations into ERP, billing, entitlement, identity, customer support, or data platforms.
  • Strong exposure to Revenue Cloud, billing, and quote-to-cash operations.
  • Experience reducing Jira customizations, plugin sprawl, and technical debt.
  • Background in regulated environments (PCI, SOX) or industries requiring strong audit posture.
  • Prior leadership roles in IT transformation, enterprise applications, platform engineering, or business systems.
  • Transformation-first mindset - not an operator by default, but someone who drives enterprise uplift.
  • Strategic clarity and execution discipline - can create a roadmap and deliver it.
  • Executive partnership - able to establish trust, influence decisions, and drive prioritization.
  • Systems thinker who understands interplay between process, data, tech, and people.
  • Operational maturity - institutionalizes governance and long-term sustainability.
