Our Phillips‑Medisize global commercial team is hiring for a Senior Director, Business Development - Global In Vitro Diagnostics & Life Sciences. This role will provide strategic, enterprise‑level leadership for one of the most important and rapidly growing global accounts in the business.

The Senior Director will be accountable for driving profitable, sustainable growth by setting and executing global account strategy, shaping long‑term commercial roadmaps, and leading a high‑performing team focused on expanding revenue, margin, and customer partnerships. This leader will serve as the primary executive interface between Phillips‑Medisize and the customer, ensuring alignment across commercial, technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.

This is a remote role based in the United States with global responsibility, requiring travel throughout the U.S. and internationally to engage internal teams and external customers. Preference for this role is in southern Wisconsin or the northern Chicago area.

Our Team

Phillips Medisize, a Molex Company, is an end‑to‑end provider of design, development, and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device industries. The world's largest pharmaceutical, MedTech, and in vitro diagnostics companies rely on Phillips Medisize to bring breakthrough ideas and innovative branded products to market with confidence.

As a contract design and manufacturing organization (CDMO), we partner closely with customers to deliver highly engineered products that help millions of people live healthier, more productive lives-including in vitro diagnostic devices, bioprocessing devices, autoinjectors, advanced wearable injection pumps, and continuous glucose monitoring systems.

What You Will Do

  • Provide strategic commercial leadership for a flagship global IVD and Life Sciences account, setting long‑term vision, growth strategy, and investment priorities.
  • Own global account P&L performance, with accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and long‑range commercial planning.
  • Lead and execute enterprise‑level account strategies that expand scope, deepen customer partnerships, and drive sustainable, profitable sales growth.
  • Direct a global team of Account Managers and commercial leaders; set clear expectations, develop talent pipelines, and lead performance management, coaching, and career progression.
  • Serve as the primary executive sponsor for the account, maintaining proactive C‑suite and senior‑leader engagement with customers and internal leadership.
  • Oversee the development and management of a robust global commercial pipeline, from opportunity identification through award, launch, and sustaining activities within the CRM framework.
  • Provide executive oversight of complex, high‑value RFQ/RFP efforts, ensuring disciplined governance, cross‑functional alignment, competitive positioning, and risk management.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, finance, and supply chain leadership to ensure flawless execution from development through commercialization.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for master development, quality, and supply agreements, balancing growth, margin, risk, and long‑term partnership objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing strategy, cost optimization initiatives, and value‑based commercial models in collaboration with customers.
  • Communicate strategy, priorities, and performance clearly and effectively to senior leadership, project teams, and customers to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer‑centric thinking across the global commercial organization.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 12+ years of progressive business development or commercial leadership experience within IVD, diagnostics, life sciences, or medical technology, including senior‑level responsibility for strategic accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a CDMO organization, selling end‑to‑end design, development, and manufacturing services.
  • Experience leading and growing large, complex global accounts with full ownership of revenue and profitability.
  • Experience leading managers and building high‑performing, geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience engaging and influencing executive‑level stakeholders at director, VP, and C‑suite levels.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar).
  • Experience leading global commercial strategy for a top‑tier, enterprise customer.
  • Experience with regulated manufacturing environments, including ISO‑based QMS and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with CRM, CPQ, pricing strategy, and proposal management platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Formal project or program management training (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).

For this role, we anticipate paying $200,000 - $250,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
