Job Description

Senior HR Director / Strategic HR Business Partner
(U.S. & Mexico – Manufacturing, High Growth)

Lead the people strategy for a rapidly scaling, cross-border manufacturing organization. In this role, you’ll be the trusted advisor to senior executives, own the HR strategy across the U.S. and Mexico, and build the organizational capabilities needed to more than double the business within the next two years.

You will shape the future of the company’s workforce by driving transformation in digital HR, manufacturing expansion, and talent strategy—while leading and developing a high-performing HR team.

Role Overview

  • Serve as a strategic HR business partner to senior leadership, influencing key decisions and ensuring people strategies directly support business priorities and long-term growth.

  • Provide forward-looking HR leadership that prepares the organization for significant growth, added complexity, and an expanding manufacturing footprint in both the U.S. and Mexico.

  • Lead the local HR function end-to-end: annual planning, goal setting, budgeting, and building scalable systems, processes, and programs that can grow with the business.

  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture through strong change leadership, organizational design, and thoughtful talent strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior thought partner to executive leaders, aligning talent strategy with business objectives, financial goals, and long-range plans.

  • Lead organizational effectiveness efforts, including strategic workforce planning, capability building, and succession planning.

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that support enterprise transformation, growth, and operational excellence.

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing HR team; drive performance management, coaching, communication, accountability, collaboration, and recognition.

  • Oversee large-scale organizational transformations, including:

    • Expansion and integration of manufacturing operations (U.S. and Mexico)

    • Digital and system implementations

    • Organization design and restructuring

  • Provide leadership and guidance across all core HR activities for assigned locations: recruitment, performance management, benefits, training and development, and employee/labor relations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and practices that reinforce the desired culture and ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and Mexican employment laws.

  • Own and manage the HR budget, ensuring investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver measurable value.

  • Establish effective communication rhythms (1:1s, team meetings, town halls) to ensure transparency, alignment, and engagement across teams and sites.

  • Define HR goals, metrics, and strategies in line with corporate and local business needs; monitor progress and course-correct as needed.

  • Lead the implementation and adoption of Workday and other HR technologies to enable data-driven decision making and scalable processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with high proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
