    Position SummaryThe Senior Director of Development leads and manages revenue strategy, major gifts, grants, foundations public and private, sponsorships, major fundraising events, annual fund advancement. This position is responsible to identify funding goals, manage major gifts engagement, sponsorship, and donor data with the goal to support the organization's mission to empower older adults to live, active, and independent lives.This leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans, providing and executing goals to meet benchmarked deadlines. Manages donor and community sponsorship advancement, securing financial support, and strengthening organizational sustainability. The Director works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and partners, including the CEO and VP Comms. Cohesively working with communications, operations, programs, volunteers, and community stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and enhance community impact within compliance of contracted funding.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Fund DevelopmentDevelop and implement annual and long-range fundraising strategies.Establish revenue strategy, identify different streams of revenue, develop continuous and measurable outcomesIdentify 5 potential corporate sponsors that align with mission of $50,000 to partner with, establish, and grow to $100,000. Identification of target corporate potentials within 30 days.Review existing Grant/Foundations Calendar with Director of Grants and Foundations. Prepare and present ongoing flowchart of continuity in revenue streams. Present to CEO/VP Comms within 30 days of start. Manage calendar, deadlines, goals and growth of grants and foundations.Work with Director of Grants and Foundations to identify grants for Care Management and Friendly Visitor /Mental Wellness ProgramsCultivate beyond existing major donors. Develop engagement strategies that increase donor engagement and long-standing retention.Support organizational sustainability and growth through stewardship and legacy.Donor Relations & StewardshipCultivate, solicit, and steward corporate sponsors, individual donors outside identified base, grants and foundations, and community partnersManage donor baseOversee donor recognition and stewardship activitiesDevelop donor engagement strategies that increase retention and long-term supportDevelop Corporate & Grant PartnershipsIdentify and grow present grants and foundations planSet goals and manage growth of grants and foundations that align with our missionIdentify and pursue foundation and corporate funding opportunitiesSet corporate growth strategy that integrates grants, foundation giving, and annual fund initiatives, while closely aligning with Communications to maximize engagement, eliminate competing priorities, and prevent message over messaging.Events & Community EngagementAcquire fiscal underwriting for 2 annual major fundraising events to be identified.Represent the organization at public events, networking functions, and community meetings as assigned.Increase organizational visibility and community awarenessLeadership & CollaborationCollaborate with VP Comms to communicate funding priorities and impact outcomesEstablish one unified voice with consistent toneCommunicate and work collaboratively with CEO/VP to ensure strategic priorities are identified and met. support organizational goalsPartner closely with communications and operations to align messaging, branding, marketing, and fundraising campaignsProvide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction for development initiativesAdministrative & Financial ResponsibilitiesManage fundraising budgets, revenue tracking, and reportingMaintain donor database integrity and reporting systemsPrepare fundraising reports for executive leadership and board membersPrepare grant and foundation reports for executive leadership and board membersEnsure compliance with nonprofit fund-raising regulations and ethical standardsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field preferredMinimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, or philanthropyDemonstrated success in donor cultivation, grant development, sponsorships, fundraising, major events.Collaborative mindset, strategic planning, relationship-building skills.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environmentStrong organizational and project management skillsProficiency with donor databases/CRM systems and Microsoft OfficePassion for serving older adults and supporting nonprofit community servicePreferred QualificationsExperience in senior services, healthcare, or community-based nonprofit organizationsGrant writing and major gift fundraising experienceKnowledge of Orange County philanthropic and community networksExperience working with nonprofit boards and volunteersBilingual skills are a plusCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation based on performancePaid sick leave and eligible nonprofit benefits in accordance with organizational policyWork SiteThis role is eligibile for hybrid work.#J-18808-Ljbffr
