Description:
Summary
Owns digital/high-speed electrical board design end-to-end, from schematic and interface definition through SI analysis, layout collaboration, bring-up, and validation.
Designs complex multi-layer digital PCBs involving processors, FPGAs, or SoCs, including component selection, pin planning, and interface budgeting.
Responsible for high-speed signal integrity, translating pre/post-layout analysis into routing and impedance constraints.
Leads digital board bring-up and lab debugging, including power-on, clocking, interface initialization, and link validation.
Works cross-functionally with layout, firmware, software, and manufacturing teams and drives root-cause analysis through structured testing.
Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus hands-on digital hardware design experience.
Must-Have Skills
Digital/high-speed electrical hardware design
End-to-end ownership of a complex digital PCB/board
High-speed digital design fundamentals
High-speed memory and/or serial interfaces
Schematic capture and PCB/EDM design tools
Hands-on high-speed lab instrumentation and debugging
Signal-integrity analysis and routing/impedance constraints
Ability to interpret datasheets, reference manuals, and user guides
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Nice-to-Have Skills
Processor/FPGA/SoC-based hardware design
EMI/EMC design understanding
High-speed memory or serial-interface bring-up
Signal-integrity simulation
Embedded processor/SoC bring-up with firmware/software teams
High-reliability or harsh-environment hardware
Scripting for test automation and data analysis
