Take a lead role designing and delivering complex industrial electrical systems for high-impact projects across chemical, manufacturing, power, and process industries. This position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, owning everything from power distribution, load studies, and one-lines to protective relaying, arc flash, and hazardous area classifications, while mentoring designers and engineers on multidisciplinary teams.


What you’ll do

  • Lead electrical design for industrial facilities, including power, lighting, and distribution systems

  • Perform detailed engineering calculations, load studies, arc flash, and short-circuit analyses

  • Specify and design switchgear, substations, MCCs, UPS systems, grounding, and controls

  • Serve as project lead on electrical scopes, coordinating teams, schedules, and deliverables

  • Support field activities, troubleshooting, and client coordination as needed


What they’re looking for

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET); PE preferred

  • 12–30 years of experience in industrial or process environments (chemical, manufacturing, energy, utilities)

  • Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, protective relaying, power systems, and hazardous area classifications

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and power system modeling tools (EasyPower or similar)

  • Salary:$110,000 – $140,000 base (plus straight-time OT over 40 hours)

  • Location:Akron, OH (44308)

  • Employment Type:Direct hire

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with hybrid flexibility (work from home Monday and Friday)
