Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 Hours)
Responsibilities
Act as Owner’s Technical Representative on projects from concept through sustainment across the Client's Resort and ancillary properties.
Perform as Owner’s Representative, including witnessing the signing and sealing of construction documents as needed.
Provide engineering guidance and best practices established in DMGS and other design requirements.
Manage the design and development of contract documents of projects with in-house and outside resources to meet scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate design activities and monitor field installations and demolition work to ensure compliance with specifications and code requirements.
Enforce DMGS and related engineering best practices.
Develop concept designs and RFPs.
Review drawings, engineering calculations, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable local and state codes and statutes.
Review shop drawing submittals and respond to vendor RFIs per Resort standards.
Perform site visits to resolve issues and minimize schedule impacts.
Partner with internal teams to develop, maintain, and enforce design guidelines, standards, master specifications, and details.
Assist Project and Design Managers in resolving design compliance issues and validating product installations.
Build enhanced communication and expectation alignment to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Current, Valid and Clear CA Professional Engineers License (PE) in Electrical Engineering.
8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with emphasis on design, calculations, code adherence, and direct construction support.
Demonstrated experience in commercial and industrial facility electrical engineering (e.g., RD&E, CEP), collaborating with other engineering and design disciplines.
In-depth knowledge of California Electrical Code, IEEE electrical low voltage standards (Brown, Buff, Red book), California Energy Codes (Title 24), and best practices for electrical safety and engineering design implementation.
Proven team collaboration with conscious engagement to ensure successful results.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Lighting design.
Required Education:
BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
