Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer for a Contract with a client in Holtsville, NY (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will lead the evaluation, validation, and qualification of alternative electrical components to ensure product reliability, cost optimization, and supply chain continuity.

Rate Range: $41/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the evaluation, qualification, and validation of alternate/second-source electrical components to support supply chain continuity and cost optimization.

  • Design and execute electrical testing and hardware validation plans to ensure components meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements.

  • Perform hands-on debugging, root cause analysis, and characterization using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electrical test equipment.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, RF, firmware, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of components into existing PCB designs.

  • Review and support PCB designs, power management systems, and engineering change activities throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Ensure all hardware modifications comply with industry standards, reliability requirements, and ruggedized product specifications, including EMI/EMC, temperature, humidity, and drop-test requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical/component engineering, hardware validation, and product development.

  • Strong expertise in electronic component engineering, second-source qualification, BOM management, engineering change management, and PCB design review.

  • Hands-on experience with hardware validation, embedded systems, power management, electrical testing equipment, and cross-functional support for new product development (NPD) and sustaining engineering.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
