Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical Engineer for an onsite contract role in Houston, TX. Join a leading North American energy infrastructure company dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy solutions while investing in renewable power and lower-carbon technologies. Your role will involve overseeing electrical design for pump station facilities related to expansion and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, company policies, and project budgets. Collaborate across teams, review design deliverables, and coordinate with third-party engineering consultants to uphold quality and schedule integrity. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage third-party engineering consultants to ensure design quality, adherence to budget, and schedule.
• Oversee electrical designs for pump station facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Review and approve electrical drawings, technical reports, and material lists.
• Participate in design review meetings to address scope, performance, and constructability concerns.
• Evaluate vendor quotations, prepare technical assessments, and support procurement decisions.
• Communicate lessons learned and quality incidents to improve project outcomes.
• Support departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Top Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Pipeline, or Midstream industries
• Proven experience in electrical design for pump stations or industrial facilities
• Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and design review processes
• Experience working with EPC firms and engineering consultants

Working Conditions:

• 80% office-based work with collaborative project teams
• 20% fieldwork supporting project scoping, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities
• Ability to manage time-sensitive deliverables and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office applications
