The ideal candidate for the Sr. Electrical Engineer improves equipment reliability by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance in a continuous manufacturing process environment. They will also provide suggestions for new and existing maintenance procedures and perform capital improvement projects.\n \nResponsibilities\n \nThe Sr. Electrical Engineer will be reportable to the Maintenance Manager and have responsibilities for the following tasks:\n \nProvide technical support to the I&E Maintenance team\n \nProactively support preventive and predictive maintenance programs and recommend improvements\n \nComplete process data analysis in order to detect potential failure and implement actions.\n \nLead Root Cause Failure Analysis and develop action plans\n \nProvide suggestions for new and existing maintenance procedures\n \nPerform capital improvement projects and apply management of change\n \nRead drawings, schematics, manuals and engineering documentation equipment operation.\n \nDevise new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles.\n \nSkills & Qualifications\n \nRequired \n\n BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field\n Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Industrial Electrical field, prefer chemical plant experience with high voltage and instrumentation experience desired\n Basic concepts of maintenance management philosophy including PM, PDM, PSM, P&S\n Knowledge and application of norm such: NEMA, NFPA, UL, NEC, ISA, IEEE\n Basic concepts of petrochemical industry equipment\n Possess good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\n Possess good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and good safety practices\n Basic concept of ISO Quality System which relates with I&E compliance\n Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office, prefer knowledge in SAP\n Strong initiative, team player, and positive attitude\n \nAlpek Polyester USA, LLC is a global leader in the production of PTA (Terephthalic Acid), PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) Resins, PET Recycling (rPET), and Specialty Polymers.
