Qualifications:
2+ years of professional experience in hardware development or embedded systems design
Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and multi-layer, high-density PCB layout
Experience with microcontroller-based system design (ARM Cortex-M, MSP430, or similar) and digital interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART)
Hands-on expertise in board bring-up, debugging, and rework on high-density designs (0201, BGA)
Regulated industry experience, specifically working within ISO 13485 or FDA Class II/III frameworks
Familiarity with battery management and Bluetooth LE (BLE) integration for portable, low-power devices
Knowledge of EMI/EMC best practices and certification processes (FCC, CE, or UL)
Basic proficiency in Python or C/C++ for test automation or firmware-assisted bring-up
Experience transitioning designs to high-volume manufacturing using DFM best practices
Responsibilities:
Drive the electrical design of next-generation clinical-grade embedded systems, from initial component selection to multi-layer PCB layout
Lead the bring-up and debugging of complex PCBA designs using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to move products from concept through mass production
Navigate regulatory standards (such as IEC 60601) and maintain rigorous documentation to support quality systems and regulatory filings
Support manufacturing scalability by improving designs for reduced cost, improved manufacturability, and assisting with failure analysis to the component level
Contribute to R&D efforts by prototyping new features and exploring hardware-driven solutions for patient-centric products
