    Description

Join a premier Wvehicle manufacturer to lead the electrical design and component specification for custom high-performance apparatus. This role focuses on developing sophisticated CAN bus architectures and multiplexed systems for mission-critical mobile equipment. As an Electrical Engineer, you will bridge the gap between initial sales specifications and final production, ensuring every vehicle meets rigorous safety and performance standards.

    • Execute detailed electrical schematic drawings for complex wire harness designs and vehicle systems.

    • Develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

    • Perform electrical load analysis reports to ensure system stability and reliability under extreme operating conditions.

    • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and provide technical shop-floor support.

    • Ensure all designs and system configurations strictly comply with NFPA guidelines and industry safety standards.

    • Manage revision control and engineering documentation for custom customer orders within a fast-paced production schedule.

    • Drive future technology initiatives by evaluating and integrating emerging electrical components and power management systems.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent experience (5-7 years) in mobile equipment design will be considered.

    • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD for electrical system layout and schematic generation.

    • Deep technical understanding of CAN bus protocols, multiplexing, and heavy-duty vehicle electrical architecture.

    • Direct experience with NFPA standards or similar regulatory frameworks for specialized mobile machinery.

    • Hands-on familiarity with Parker IQAN mobile controller software and Cummins Engine Diagnostics is highly preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of Sheet Metal Design and fabrication processes to support electro-mechanical integration.

    • Advanced computing skills, including experience with Microsoft Access and Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems.

    Benefits

This is an opportunity to work on highly engineered, life-saving equipment where your designs have a direct impact on public safety. We offer a collaborative and innovative environment that values technical ownership and career progression. You will work with cutting-edge vehicle technologies in a self-motivated culture that rewards problem-solving and multi-disciplinary expertise.

If you are a detail-oriented engineer looking to apply your electro-mechanical skills to complex, custom projects, we encourage you to apply today.
