Sr. Electrical Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for providing estimates, quantity takeoffs, and proposal documentation. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Chief Estimator and collaborate closely with Estimators and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand contract specifications, documents, and drawings to accurately perform takeoffs.
• Conduct plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates.
• Research and interface with vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Perform data entry and update material pricing in estimating software.
• Update labor rates as needed.
• Stay informed about industry-standard software, including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process.
• Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally for takeoffs.
• Occasionally visit project sites and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Participate in special projects as necessary.
• Assist with other estimating duties as assigned.
