As a Sr. Electrical Power Engineer (Data Center) II, you'll serve as the senior technical authority for designing, evaluating, and sustaining electrical power systems supporting mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure with the goal to make an impact across the federal government. Job Summary

What you'll do:

• Lead, plan, design, monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, document, and evolve the electrical state of telecommunications networks. • Design and evaluate electrical power systems supporting mission-critical infrastructure. • Support resilient, high-availability infrastructure operations in secure environments. • Participate in Agile execution and technical planning discussions. • Troubleshoot power system issues and operational faults. • Communicate technical recommendations and engineering decisions clearly to stakeholders. • Build and maintain customer trust through technical excellence and disciplined execution. • Apply creativity and engineering judgment to deliver innovative, mission-aligned solutions.

Requirements

What you'll need to succeed:

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. • Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 451 System Administrator work role when this billet is cyber-coded, such as Security+ as a baseline with SSCP or CISSP for senior practitioners. If not cyber-coded, certification may be designated as not applicable. • 8+ years of experience focused on the evaluation, research, design, and analysis of complex electrical power systems supporting IT system power services. • Demonstrated expertise leading and executing electrical power engineering efforts across planning, design, monitoring, troubleshooting, evaluation, documentation, and acceptance activities. • Hands-on experience designing and managing electrical systems for data centers and IT infrastructure, including power distribution, grounding, load analysis, UPS, ATS, and battery systems. • Operational experience supporting critical infrastructure power systems, including facilities power, redundancy planning, and availability assurance. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Relevant experience may substitute where appropriate. • Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up in a mission-critical operational environment. • Required technical certifications include Professional Engineer where stamped engineering is required and NFPA 70E.

Additional Information

This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:

• The candidates professional background and relevant work experience • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation

This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
