Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Preconstruction Manager to join our National Mission Critical team. The role provides preconstruction and estimating leadership, expertise to projects and project teams, and focuses on the Electrical Scope of work.Responsibilities Work with project managers to develop conceptual and detailed estimates at varying stages of design for the electrical scope of work.Scope, compare and select subcontractors based on best value and project requirements.Solicit subcontractor pricing and evaluate for budgeting and bid proposals.Perform quantity take‑offs of all electrical systems, record final estimates and maintain cost history.Support development of architectural and construction teams with preconstruction expertise including value design, costs, project schedule, procurement, and project pursuits.Assist in training cost engineers and project management staff.Provide direction and a clear understanding of the electrical project scope, market pricing, and available resources.Assist clients and developers with conceptual budgets.Communicate to ensure team members understand scope inclusions, exclusions and delineation points.Assist field team to develop early project schedule.Develop clear understanding of clients project requirements and evaluate construction means and methods for schedule and cost impacts.Work with architects, engineers, consultants and commissioning agents for early project planning and evaluation of design requirements and intent.Identify temporary electrical system needs for projects.Conduct constructability reviews related to the electrical scope.Assist project team in early electrical subcontractor agreement negotiations and change requests.Build relationships with potential clients and deliver formal sales presentations.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management (or equivalent work experience).At least 10 years of proven experience in the commercial electrical construction industry (mission‑critical data center experience preferred).Experience with mission‑critical data center projects and electrical preconstruction.Experience with early procurement of scopes/equipment and evaluating sustainable initiatives for electrical systems.Proficiency with CSI and Uniformat II work‑breakdown structures.Ability to perform accurate quantity take‑offs and summarize data effectively.Working knowledge of DESTINI Estimator, Microsoft Excel, OST, and Bluebeam.Strong proactive communication, customer focus and high professionalism, honesty and integrity.Proficiency with early procurement and subcontractor negotiations is an advantage.Compensation Salary range: $140,000 – $180,000 annually. Salary may vary within the range based on location, knowledge, skills and ability.
