General Summary
We're looking for a high achieving Electronics Test Technician who thrives in a fast, rapidly changing, high-pressure environment to join Astronics. That can engage with both internal and external customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Electronic Technician degree or equivalent with an understanding of Digital and Analog Testing.
- Proficient at board level repair
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
- Proficiency in measuring devices and instruments
- DMM, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, Signal Generator, Calibrators
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical specifications
- Excellent organizational skill
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset. Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work in teams and to think/act quick on their feet
- Ability to Solder SMD packages.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- In circuit testing experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong electronic troubleshooting skills
- SMD soldering expertise
- PCB Rework
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision as well as collaboratively with others.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to customers and channel partners
- Proficiency with standard business software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word.
- Ability to learn our management system and web-based applications
- Ability to clearly recognize and report relevant information.
- Minimum 5 years' experience.
