Summary: 

• Builds and ships high-reliability embedded systems using embedded Linux.

• Applies complete Software Development Life Cycle in a regulated software environment (Military, Healthcare, Space, etc.).

• Uses common tools including git, make, cmake, and JIRA for software development and project tracking.

• Works with operating systems fundamentals including schedulers, network stack, file system, and memory management.

• Designs SoC and SoM systems for hardware interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Serial, and Ethernet.

• Implements various data integrity checks and mitigation methods for operations in harsh environments.

• Programs in C and C++ for embedded software applications.

• Leads software projects from requirements through verification and validation.

• Works with RTOS and embedded Linux device drivers and bootloaders.

• Applies Agile methods for software development.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience building and shipping high-reliability embedded systems using embedded Linux.

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.

• Familiarity with git, make, cmake, and JIRA.

• Experience with operating systems fundamentals including schedulers, network stack, file system, and memory management.

• Experience with SoC and SoM system design for hardware interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Serial, and Ethernet.

• US Citizenship required.

• Preferred: Experience with RTOS and embedded Linux device drivers and bootloaders.

• Preferred: Experience with Python, image processing for camera-based sensor applications, YOCTO environment, and Doxygen documentation generation.
