Your Job

We are seeking a Sr. Engineering Change Administrator to support the creation, control, release, and maintenance of engineering product data, documentation, and change records. This role will help ensure engineering changes are processed accurately, consistently, and in alignment with product lifecycle, quality, manufacturing, and enterprise system requirements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-minded, and comfortable working across engineering, operations, quality, and IT teams. This position combines engineering documentation control, change process execution, data governance, and system coordination to support scalable and reliable engineering change administration.

Our Team

Molex's Optical Connectivity Group designs and delivers optical connectivity solutions that support data centers, telecom infrastructure, and next-generation computing. As part of Koch Industries, Molex fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement across global engineering and manufacturing teams.

What You Will Do

Engineering Change Administration

  • Create, route, monitor, and close engineering change requests, engineering change orders, drawing revisions, part records, and related documentation in accordance with defined processes.
  • Review change packages for completeness, accuracy, required approvals, effective dates, affected items, and alignment with documentation standards.
  • Maintain engineering data integrity across product records, bills of material, drawings, specifications, and lifecycle states.
  • Coordinate with engineering, product management, operations, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure changes are understood and implemented correctly.

Product Data and Documentation Control

  • Administer controlled engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, item masters, product structures, and supporting records.
  • Ensure revision control, naming conventions, metadata, ownership, and release status are applied consistently.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in engineering records by partnering with appropriate subject matter experts.
  • Support data cleanup, standardization, migration, and validation activities related to engineering systems and PLM processes.

Process Execution and Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as a primary process resource for users submitting, reviewing, or approving engineering changes.
  • Provide guidance on change process requirements, documentation expectations, workflow steps, and system usage.
  • Track change activity, identify bottlenecks, escalate delays, and support timely completion of engineering change workflows.
  • Assist with training materials, work instructions, user support, and continuous improvement of engineering change administration practices.

Engineering Systems Coordination

  • Work within PLM, CAD, ERP, document control, and related engineering systems to support accurate product data flow.
  • Partner with engineering systems, IT, and business process owners to report issues, validate fixes, and support system enhancements.
  • Participate in testing, user acceptance validation, and rollout support for engineering change workflow improvements.
  • Help ensure engineering change processes remain aligned with manufacturing readiness, quality requirements, and downstream system needs.

Key Capabilities

  • Engineering Data Discipline: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, complete, and controlled engineering records.
  • Process Execution: Ability to follow structured workflows, identify gaps, and help improve repeatable engineering change processes.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders.
  • Systems Orientation: Comfort working in PLM, ERP, CAD-adjacent, or document control systems and learning new digital workflows.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Willingness to challenge inefficient processes, support standardization, and contribute to scalable ways of working.

What Success Looks Like

  • Engineering changes are processed accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Product records, drawings, revisions, and documentation remain controlled and reliable.
  • Stakeholders understand change process requirements and receive timely support.
  • Engineering data quality improves through disciplined review, cleanup, and standardization.
  • Change workflows support effective product development, manufacturing readiness, and quality compliance.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience supporting engineering change management, document control, product data management, manufacturing documentation, quality systems, or a related technical administration function.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications, item masters, revision control, or controlled documentation.
  • Ability to review detailed information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with defined standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active change records and priorities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools and enterprise business systems.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems such as SAP, Agile PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting engineering change orders, engineering change requests, new part creation, item master maintenance, or bill of material governance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and the relationship between engineering data and manufacturing execution.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, product development, optical connectivity, electronics, or highly regulated technical environment.
  • Experience creating work instructions, process documentation, training materials, or user support content.
