Position Description & QualificationsThis Engineering Technician position will be on a dynamic team responsible for Command Control Communications Computers Cyber Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Afloat and Ashore based communications support, maintenance, and sustainment on various USCG platforms in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Bring your technical expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on national security missions.ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering technician support tasks, including installation, integration, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.Support engineering and systems teams by assisting with prototype builds, equipment setup, system modifications, and implementation of approved engineering changes.Conduct inspections, measurements, functional checks of systems, subsystems, and components to verify compliance with technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.Support system integration, verification, validation, troubleshooting, and operational testing during laboratory, shipboard, and fielded environments.Assist with troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of system or component failures and support implementation of corrective actions under engineering direction.Prepare, update, and maintain required technical documentation, including installation records, test results, inspection checklists, maintenance logs, configuration data, and as‑built documentation.Support Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) activities by providing objective evidence, inspection data, and test documentation in compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).Ensure assigned work is performed in compliance with applicable technical standards, safety requirements, NAVSEA guidance, MIL‑STDs, and contract‑specific procedures.Support Government inspections, audits, and acceptance activities conducted under the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) by demonstrating work results and providing supporting documentation.Coordinate with engineers, quality personnel, logistics staff, and program management to ensure technical tasks are executed in accordance with schedule, quality, and performance requirements.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED or Technical school diploma with a minimum of 5 years work‑related experience in electrical/electronic systems.Active DoD Secret clearance is required to be considered.Experience performing engineering technician support tasks, including installation, integration, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.Travel up to 10% may be required.Compensation and BenefitsBase Hourly Rate: $23.26 per hourHealth & Welfare: $5.55 per hour (paid in addition to base wage) — intended to cover the cost of bona fide fringe benefits.Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; robust vacation and sick leave; 401(k) plan with employer matching; tuition reimbursement; life and disability insurance; optional additional coverages such as pet, home, and auto insurance; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other benefits as specified by the contract.Equal Opportunity EmploymentSerco is an equal opportunity employer.
