JOB TITLE: Sr Engineering Technician
LOCATION:Torrance, CA
PAY RATE: $35-38/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

• Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Performs high volume repetitive testing of commercial and military precision hydraulic and pneumatic high pressure testing in fluid power.

• Lifts up to 35 lbs as part of testing operations.

• Performs testing and troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed to improve efficiency.

• Establishes standard production rate for maintenance, production, clerical, and other worker operations.

• May direct and lead the work of others in testing operations.

• Applies knowledge of fluid power concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Performs a variety of complicated testing tasks with creativity and latitude.

• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish testing goals.

• Reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• High school degree or equivalent.

• 4-6 years of experience in the field.

• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

• Previous testing and troubleshooting experience preferred.

• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.

• Ability to make timely decisions balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.

• May direct and lead the work of others.
