Sr Engineering Technician – HoneywellAs a Sr Engineering Technician at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing support for various projects and initiatives in the Engineering Test Systems Vacuum Lab. The position provides technical, project, and process support for engineering, test, and ISC production. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Minneapolis, MN location.In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our engineering support operations. Responsibilities include performing leak tests, vacuum system assembly, permeation testing, production gas testing, CTE testing, and additional tasks supporting production and engineering projects. You will also design and develop test procedures and standards.ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze data, determine failure mode, update databases, and present test methodology as required.Implement lab processes for equipment: scheduling, tracking, maintenance, calibration, and repair.Support common lab practices and identify & recommend continuous improvement opportunities.Actively participate in lab team goals and HOS activities.Assure compliance with established ETS processes.Qualifications – Must Have5 years of experience in ultra‑high vacuum operations.Familiar with vacuum equipment such as pumps, valves, and leak detectors.Ability to identify and diagnose root cause and resolution.Proficient in Word & Excel, including VBA.Proactive approach to troubleshooting unusual technical problems.Preferred QualificationsVacuum Technology degree or willingness to complete core vacuum courses.Extensive experience with vacuum test equipment.Strong hand tool, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good working knowledge of engineering test process and principles.Proficient at reading and understanding electronic schematics and engineering specifications.Ability to work independently, demonstrate high integrity and accountability.Clearly accepts responsibility for tasks and decisions, ensures clear objectives.Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.SalaryThe annual base salary range for this position is $59,200 – $74,000.
