All the data exchanges and interfaces between them
Voting seat on the architectural review board
Partner with other archs as the rep for salesforce at enterprise level
Value comes from breadth not configuring the system
Senior person that's highly visible within the organization
This person represents the Salesforce solution and collaborates with Enterprise Architects of the other systems – Oracle HCM / ERP, ServiceNow, etc
This person collaborates with the Salesforce architects already in place
Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect with a specialization in Salesforce to operate at a strategic level, ensuring our enterprise systems are cohesive and scalable. This is a highly visible, portfolio-level architect role that sits above our platform-specific architects. You will be the primary voice for the Salesforce platform's impact across the enterprise, focusing on how it integrates with and affects other core systems like HCM, ERP, and CSM. Your value will come from providing architectural breadth and governance, not from direct system configuration.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and standardize integration patterns between Salesforce and other systems, including Oracle ERP/HCM and ServiceNow, using modern, event-driven architecture.
Drive consensus and resolve conflicts across engineering, security, product teams, and external vendors without direct authority.
Serve as the Salesforce representative on the Enterprise Architecture Board, holding a voting seat and ensuring architectural decisions align with enterprise standards.
Own and maintain the operational playbook for platform requests, reviews, and development, establishing clear guardrails for all users.
Align Salesforce platform strategy with broader business goals, ensuring technology investments support required business capabilities.
Lead the design for global identity, user permissions, and zero-trust security frameworks.
Oversee the platform's data strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations such as SOX, PCI, and HIPAA.
Provide mentorship to other architects, administrators, and developers on best practices for secure coding, automation, and design.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology.
A minimum of 5 years of experience focused on Salesforce within large, multi-cloud enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience with matrixed influence, successfully aligning teams and resolving conflicts without direct reporting lines.
Experience presenting to or serving on an Enterprise Architecture Board, with proficiency in documenting decisions through methods like Architectural Decision Records (ADRs).
Broad technical knowledge of integration patterns, including event-driven architecture, middleware, and APIs, as well as an understanding of data encryption and compliance laws.
Experience with financial service regulatory bodies and compliance standards like SOX.
Must be able to travel 10-20% for planning sessions and leadership meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with technical debt cleanup, consolidation of multiple Salesforce instances, and modernization of DevOps pipelines.
Familiarity with systems such as Core Sales/Service Clouds, Experience Cloud, CPQ, MuleSoft, and back-office ERP systems.
Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related business field.
