Please note this will be a fully onsite position based in Oklahoma City.
What You Will Do
Performs an intermediate level of work related to the operation of equipment and maintenance of pipe yard.
Operate a variety of heavy equipment including:
Perform maintenance on vehicles and equipment including:
Assist in the preparation of loading and unloading trucks, trailers, special equipment, and other materials for hauling and delivery of company assets to work site locations.
Recognize and resolve routine issues that can occur in own work area by evaluating and selecting solutions from established operating procedures.
Verify, maintain, and archive company required pipe specifications such as physical characteristics, heat number, and mill test record (MTR) requirements.
Assist with the reconciliation of pipe orders to address any discrepancies. Assist in monitoring active inventory level planning for materials and pipe in the materials distribution centers (MDC).
Maintain logs; calculate and prepare reports including:
Inspect steel and plastic pipe and other materials that are delivered to the pipe yard, worksites, and warehouse for defects. Examine pre-test pipe and emergency materials for field locations.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Class A CDL required
Minimum H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent in general studies
Working knowledge of driving, maintaining, and operating large trucks (up to 2 tons) and heavy equipment.
Experience in use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position.
Working knowledge in application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Working knowledge and training relative to:
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret bill of materials, materials specifications, diagrams, dials, gauges, and work logs.
Demonstrate an understanding of DOT regulations and requirements.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Preferred Operator Qualified Certification.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 10 12 times a day; up to 40 pounds 6 10 times a day; over 50 pounds 4 6 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including:
Climb into and out of equipment and trucks.
Sit and/or stand for extended periods.
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Smell odorant in natural gas when delivering equipment to active job sites.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Ability to communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
Peripheral vision and accurate depth perception.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
