Are you interested in creating the future of B2C logistics? Our team is changing the way we interact with customers around the globe and building a new, emerging business in shipping and freight to solve some of the biggest logistical opportunities facing not just Amazon, but the entire industry.

The Amazon Shipping & Freight Event Marketing team works across North America and Europe. We are looking for a highly driven and entrepreneurial expert, with focus on industry events, partnerships and owned events, to drive growth across a portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and hands-on problem solver with a proven track record of successfully managing industry events and partnerships.

You will use your experience to deliver event strategy that attracts and engages enterprises and large e-commerce retail organizations. You must bring the creativity and agility required to differentiate Amazon in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and operationalize how we think about events. This role operates cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as our internal content, commercial, and legal teams. This role will work with multiple other events teams across Amazon.

The right candidate has successful experience in results-driven marketing, a passion for technology, and an entrepreneurial spirit with strong event marketing, financial literacy and stakeholder management skills. They will demonstrate ability to balance campaign creation and ideation, data analysis, strategic leadership, project and senior stakeholder management. They have experience working for a B2B tech, or logistics company, leading cross-functional marketing initiatives in a fast moving and ambiguous environment, balancing long-term vision with the ability to execute tactical details in a fast growing space.

Responsibilities:

Support strategy, development, and optimization of field marketing events and internal/external campaigns in order to accelerate lead readiness for sales teams.

End-to-end management of event/campaign projects, budgets, and timelines.

Work across a dynamic ecosystem of stakeholders to help define, develop, and implement integrated campaign strategies.

Partner with external agencies in support of event management and execution.

Dive deep into data with reports and dashboards to provide visibility into campaign results, and effectiveness.

Provide clear and concise documentation for stakeholder teams that outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for campaigns.

Develop mechanisms for efficient strategic planning and operationalize mechanisms to automate manual process across all event elements

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
