Summary
The Sr. Estimator provides accurate and cost-efficient estimates as well as support to internal Sparks teams. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the tradeshow/ exhibit industry.
This role supports our Operations Team and is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, typically working 2-3 days per week in office and/or at show site based out of one of the following locations:
Grand Prairie, TX
Philadelphia, PA
Fort Wayne, IN
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Participate as a team player in providing overall value to the company
Prepare estimates for construction of trade show exhibits and environments
Maintain working relationship with vendors and subcontractors
Research materials as they pertain to product availability
Maintain estimate files and product reference library
Recommend ideal cost-efficient materials and fabrication methods
Operate computer spreadsheet programs for exhibit estimating
Work in conjunction with Operations Manager on large projects
Work with Account Executives regarding estimating requirements
Assist with other enterprise projects
Prepare detailed proposal materials for all project presentations
Mentor and train new talent and existing estimators, strengthening team dynamics and knowledge
Education & Experience
Trade and/or Business School training
6+ yrs experience estimating in the trade show/ exhibit industry
Excellent Excel skills
Ability to quickly adapt to new software
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Working knowledge of woodworking equipment and construction methods
Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a team player
Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
