MAU is hiring a Sr. Facilities Electric Engineer for our client in Graniteville, SC. As a Sr. Facilities Electric Engineer, you will plan, coordinate, and oversee the installation, maintenance, and performance of facility electrical systems while supporting reliability, safety, and capital projects. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information

  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Five (5) eight (8)-hour days
  • May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or on-call support

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facilities with a strong focus on electrical systems

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM Power Tools)
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation systems

Essential Functions

  • Work with the Sr. Manager for Facilities and Maintenance to deliver department objectives
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, and oversee installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, HVAC controls, fire alarm systems, and backup power systems
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver, and oversee PPM, FET, IR testing, and reactive maintenance on HV and LV electrical systems
  • Manage capital projects related to facility electrical upgrades, expansions, and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure plant reliability
  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc flash assessments, and system capacity planning
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, OSHA)
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment
  • Lead and support energy management and sustainability programs
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and utility companies as needed
  • Develop framework contracts and Service Level Agreements for external service providers
  • Oversee and assess work performance of external service providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical systems and facility drawings, including one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and maintenance records
  • Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams during equipment installation, upgrades, or modifications
  • Participate in safety programs, risk assessments, and facility audits
  • Support implementation of company Health & Safety Standards, including serving as Responsible Person (RP) or Assistant RP
  • Serve as campus subject matter expert for electrical systems and manage/sign off on electrical training requirements
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and improvement opportunities
  • Provide input for continuous improvement of maintenance systems and processes
  • Own and manage campus PV systems, EV systems, and onsite microgrid operations
  • Own and assist with reporting activities for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain critical spares inventory for key assets
  • Collaborate with structural engineers, builders, architects, surveyors, and internal project teams
  • Attend project group and technical meetings
  • Support security of employees and assets through emergency planning and disaster recovery strategies for electrical systems
  • Promote a compliance culture aligned with company integrity standards
  • Perform special projects as required
