About the Role:
As a CBRE Sr Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive operations, maintenance, and strategic management of a diverse portfolio of healthcare facilities across Southern California and the Central Coast.
This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in healthcare facilities management, capable of leading a substantial team and ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and provide strategic direction for the operational and maintenance functions across a portfolio of healthcare facilities throughout Southern California, the Central Valley, and the Central Coast.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure all facilities meet established standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance protocols.
- Travel extensively across the portfolio, including mandatory quarterly site visits.
- While remote work is occasionally possible, a preference exists for on-site presence at main locations in Oxnard or Santa Maria.
- Provide formal supervision and leadership to a team of 10 to 15 direct reports, including Facilities Managers and Engineers.
- Conduct performance evaluations, offer coaching, and mentor team members to foster professional growth and ensure high-performance standards.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and implement cross-training initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and coverage.
- Coordinate and manage all facility repairs and maintenance activities by effectively collaborating with internal technicians, external vendors, and contractors.
- Implement and suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities to optimize facility performance and longevity.
- Develop and implement environmental health and safety (EHS) procedures for all managed facilities, ensuring a safe and compliant environment.
- Cultivate and maintain positive client relationships through regular communication and proactive issue resolution.
- Conduct meetings with clients to address and resolve any outstanding facility-related concerns.
- Prepare, manage, and report on large-scale, high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships, oversee invoicing procedures, and review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.
What You'll Need:
- At least 5 years of experience in facilities management in a healthcare facility.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. Facility Management certification preferred.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Good Suite products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $130,000 annually [or $62.50 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $145,000 annually [or $69.71 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
