Job DescriptionLead full lifecycle management of local, state, federal, and foundation grants, including application, budgeting, reporting, audits, and site visitsProvide grant management support to Principal Investigators and their departments who are recipients of external grants and contractsDevelop, monitor, and forecast operating and grant budgets across multiple programsAnalyze, interpret, and develop recommendations for leadership on funding adequacy, allowability of expenses, staffing, and sustainability and other pertinent deliverables for compliance as they pertain to federal regulations and university policiesReview contract terms and conditions; liaise with relevant units and campus departments to monitor compliance of contracts, set up and manage awards for external funding, ensuring they are consistent with the requirements of university policy, relevant sponsor policies, and all applicable state and federal lawsServe as primary liaison with funders and University administrative unitsCorrespond with external partners to ensure understanding of regulations and requirements for fundingReview budget and expenses on restricted funds and monitor the appropriateness of expenditures on awards and sub‑awards for allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and consistency of treatmentCompile, review, and submit sponsored project invoicing, financial reporting, prior approval requests, and other sponsor requests/reports as required - including working with other campus-sponsored programs on collaborative projects between campusesEnsure Cost‑Share account set‑up, perform tracking and reportingProcess budget changes, carryforward and extensions, prior approval requirements for changing aspects of a fund and closeoutCommunicate and direct departmental staff on the procedures and practices for award management as they pertain to complex fiscal situationsCooperate and engage with Sponsored Program Administration staff and campus community to provide training on best practices regarding award management and compliance regulationsProvide administrative supervision to finance office personnel responsible for invoicing, billing, and other financial processing responsibilitiesAssist in maintaining office records for efficient business operationsShift40 hours/week.
