Job title: Sr. Finance Manager, Domestic Compensation Finance
Duration: 09+ Months Contract
Pay Range: $75 - $80 per hour on W2 (inclusive of all)
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Onsite (5 days in office)
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- They are responsible for compensation and employee planning, working in a role managing confidential data, they should be quick with learning systems, has knowledge on how to manage financial planning backgrounds, highly adaptable to managing the compensation, experience in FP&A.
- Experience in salary and employee planning is preferred but not necessarily required.
- Entertainment experience is a nice to have.
- Should be proactive and ready to jump into the role with an eagerness to learn. This role will evolve as we go through transformation, should be flexible and adaptable. This is a fast-paced environment as well. Good communicator is very helpful. Employee related FP&A experience is preferred. Knowledge and experience with compensation planning principles is preferred.
- Excel advanced or expert is required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 6-8+ years of financial planning & analysis, reporting and accounting related experience, preferably in the media industry
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively across various departments and with strong executive presence and relationship management
- Strategic and highly analytic mindset that is self-motivated and self-starter
- Strong analytical abilities and decision making skills
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to fast paced working environment and deal with ambiguity
- Ability to create strong working relationships and work well both as team player and individually
- Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts and processes (US GAAP/IFRS)
- Strive to identify process efficiency/effectiveness improvement opportunities and propose suggestions and issue resolutions
- Strive to be recognized by stakeholders as a business partner
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and show ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and meet deadlines
- Team player who fosters a spirit of collaboration and strives for excellence
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Oracle Fusion, Longview and SAP a plus
- Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry a plus
