Sr Finance Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:

Job Summary: Responsible for analyzing and evaluating financial systems, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Work closely with finance and accounting teams to identify requirements, design solutions, and implement changes to financial systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and knowledge of financial principles and practices. Additionally, may also be involved in system testing, troubleshooting, and providing support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

Information Technology:

• Serve as lead over one suite of modules or breadth of knowledge of technology supported by team
• Lead teams to complete technology projects
• Serve as key contributor in process design for related area
• Lead design/implementation of system or data integration and reporting
• Apply understanding of available technical resources; select most relevant, innovative options as solutions
• Own relationships with business units to translate needs into technology solutions
• Coordinate efforts between vendor and/or internal stakeholders
• Redesign/actively work to reengineer processes to leverage technology to be more efficient, accurate, and customer-oriented
• Serve as mentor to Accounting/Finance Technology Advisors and build best practices for the team
• May manage lower-level Partners
• Competently perform Technology Advisor II duties

Analytics:

• Identify and develop benchmarks and metrics for data; ensure data integrity of integrated systems
• Proactively identify issues and gaps within current business processes and reporting
• Build and deliver complex reports using multiple data sets

Qualifications & Key Requirements:

Advanced individual contributor in a professional role. Works independently, with limited oversight, however, work is typically approved upon completion. Recognized as a subject matter expert who demonstrates mastery in applying theories, principles, concepts, and methodologies to devise innovative solutions to complex problems. Guides the development of policies, processes, and procedures in area of expertise. Majority of work efforts are spent managing large projects and/or processes.

 

Coaches, directs, oversees, and/or reviews the work of lower-level professionals.

 

Networks with contacts outside own are of expertise using knowledge of interrelationships between disciplines. Advises others on complex matters using knowledge and persuasion.

Work Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance technology
• 2+ years of experience documenting systems specifications, and building system / process requirements
• Business and technical experience
• Experience configuring cloud-based software (SAAS)
• Experience in project implementations

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or additional role-relevant experience

Licenses/Certifications:

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Function in a fast-paced, office environment
• Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
• Work extended hours; sit for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more
