About the Role:

We're seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Finance Analyst to support one of our clients in the industrial sector. In this role, you'll help drive financial performance by delivering accurate reporting, analyzing results, identifying trends, and providing insights that support strategic business decisions.

You'll partner with stakeholders across the business on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while helping maintain strong accounting and reporting controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and making a measurable impact.

This role can be performed remotely by candidates located in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to the client and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and partner with Facility Managers to research discrepancies, explain performance trends, and develop accurate variance commentary.
  • Review expenses and transactions to identify coding errors, accrual requirements, and other items requiring correction or reclassification.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and ensure all financial activity is accurately reflected in the reporting period.
  • Review purchase order activity, monitor aging items, and ensure open commitments are properly managed, accrued, and closed out as appropriate.
  • Support month-end close activities, including accrual preparation, financial reconciliations, and validation of financial results.
  • Develop and maintain client-facing financial reports, including variance analyses, budget reports, forecasting models, and other ad hoc reporting.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support monthly client billing activities and help ensure invoices are approved and paid in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles, providing financial analysis and recommendations to support business planning.
  • Analyze data from multiple systems and sources, understand data flows and reporting logic, and validate the accuracy of financial information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, streamline workflows, and enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
  • Respond to client and stakeholder inquiries regarding financial results, reporting, forecasts, and accounting-related matters.
  • Travel occasionally, approximately 1-2 times per year, as business needs require.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, or a related finance function.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex spreadsheets, analyze large datasets, understand formulas and reporting logic, and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to improve productivity, reporting, analysis, and business processes.
  • Experience with Adaptive or similar financial and reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes.
  • Ability to independently reconcile financial data, identify discrepancies, audit your own work, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues, interpret data, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze information from multiple sources, understand data flows and system relationships, and validate the accuracy of financial results.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts and reporting results to stakeholders with varying levels of financial expertise.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Financial Analyst position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Financial Analyst position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
