The Sr Financial Analyst – Pharmacy Operations would provide end to end financial analysis across acquisition, and reimbursement processes. Investigate pharmacy drug spend across health system for all settings (hospital, outpatient, home) and identify opportunities to leverage various discount programs (GPO, 340B, etc.). Additionally, research billing requirements for drug reimbursement and develop/maintain modeling of expected payments on drugs/pharmacological supplies for third party payors and follow-up on identified variances.
Responsibilities:As listed below, with a focus on pharmacy departments (inpatient, outpatient, 340B):
(10%)*Assists pharmacy leaders in preparing annual operating budget and explain monthly variances
(45%)*Prepares cost/acquisition analysis for pharmacy departments as requested with the time frames stated.
(45%)*Prepares drug reimbursement analysis for pharmacy departments as requested with the time frames stated.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Demonstrates understanding of integrated system applications particularly enterprise resource planning
(Infor) and electronic medical records /pharmacy inventory system(Epic).
Facilitates the collection of accurate and complete data.
Assures integrity of data is developed and maintained.
Audits and consults with users to ensure data integrity.
Develops system to gather data to support medical staff activities such as drug utilization, wholesaler
account contract discrepancies, surgical case review, infection control, etc.
Prepare and present findings to pharmacy operations and finance leaders.
Takes initiative to take on extra assignments or to assist others during periods of increased activity.

Required Education:Education: Bachelors Degree
Comments: Bachelor’s Degrees, Business related field required. Experience with financial system, integrated financial decision support system with clinical components, strongly preferred.
Other Information:EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of data analysis interpretation, writing skills, and complete knowledge of Microsoft Suite required.

Tuberculosis (TB) testing must be done according to MIOSHA (Michigan Occupational Safety Health Administration) standards.
