Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Director in tracking and consolidating procurement cost savings, capital savings, and cost avoidance for the forecast and AOP
  • Provide analysis, insights, and reporting in support of BOM cost reduction
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly supply chain savings and cost reductions presentations as part of the leadership review cycle
  • Perform reconciliation and analysis of actual BOM cost and Supply Chain savings
  • Perform ROI analyses for cost saving programs including Make/Buy/Where
  • Support the Global Director of Facilities for sites that are set to be closed or shut down. Including taking over certain accounting tasks needed at the sites. (i.e. cash roll forwards, SOX questions etc.).
  • Roll up the actual facilities costs for global Coherent monthly compared to the forecast and AOP with variance explanations.
  • Support the financial analyst with the Coherent worldwide roll-up of the monthly Global Supply Chain Financials.
  • Develop reports from EPM/Hyperion to review Global Supply Chain Financials (including cost savings, department spending, revenue/cogs analysis, etc.
  • Support the Weekly Business Update process
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR), applicant must be a U.S. person, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8. U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 yr. experience
  • BS/MS or equivalent degree.

Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Hyperion experience
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp. Global Supply Chain and Finance.
