The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. In this role, you will partner with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, improve planning processes, and provide recommendations that strengthen profitability, cost management, and overall business performance.

What you’ll do

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities, ensuring assumptions are well supported and aligned with business objectives. 

  • Management Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for finance leadership and business partners. 

  • Variance Analysis: Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities. 

  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, profitability analysis, pricing decisions, capital investments, and strategic initiatives. 

  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support informed decision-making. 

  • Cost and Margin Analysis: Evaluate cost structures, margin trends, productivity opportunities, and financial performance by product, customer, business unit, or function. 

  • Month-End Support: Partner with accounting teams during month-end close to validate financial results, explain variances, and ensure reporting accuracy. 

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to reporting, forecasting, data quality, and analytical tools to increase efficiency and insight. 

  • Compliance and Controls: Support adherence to company policies, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. 

  • Special Projects: Support ad hoc analyses, business cases, financial reviews, and strategic projects as . 

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field is . CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA designation is considered an asset. 

    Experience: Typically requires 5 or more years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. 

    Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are ; experience with ERP, consolidation, reporting, planning, or business intelligence tools is strongly preferred. 

    Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, variance analysis, forecasting methodologies, cost accounting, and business performance metrics. 

    Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. 

    Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. 

    Business Partnership: Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively across functions.

    Professional Standards: High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and discretion when handling confidential financial information.

Salary Range:

$96,600.00-$128,800.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
