Role Overview

The Financial Reporting Analyst Senior provides oversight and direction of FP&A management, and assists with consolidated G&A management and analysis.


Responsibilities

Present financial summaries and business insights to FP&A leadership
Develop financial models to support decision making related to Budget, Forecast, monthly G&A analysis and current and historical FTE analysis
Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis
Assist in driving change as needed to improve financials for the organization and build analytical tools to gain efficiencies in financial modeling as required
Lead automation efforts of critical processes
Utilize data mining techniques to extract insights and inform financial decision making
Assist in the development of the long-range financial plans and continuously analyze operating financial results. Work closely with other departments within Amerihealth to ensure that strategic initiatives are achieved
Assist in the coaching, development and mentoring of financial analysts
Assist in the development of the annual budget and analyze actual and budgeted figures on an ongoing basis
Review monthly financial operating results, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance. Work with other departments for account reconciliation
Perform ad hoc analysis and forecasts for internal management team and external customers

Skills:

Experienced in financial modeling, analysis, and P&L management Preferred
Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
Strong knowledge of data mining techniques and adhoc analysis
Experience communicating results to senior leadership or experience building reporting that informs decision making
Experience with Hyperion/Oracle or similar ERP systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Healthcare Industry experience preferred

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field required
At least five (5) or more years of progressive FP&A or Accounting experience
